Good to know first
- An account only exists if you signed in with Google to use Friends. If you never signed in, there is nothing on our servers: uninstalling the app deletes everything.
- Deleting is permanent. Your friends, friend code and cloud backup can't be recovered afterwards.
Option 1 · FastestDelete it in the app
- Open Cleaven and tap the menu (☰) at the top right of the home screen.
- Open Settings and scroll to the bottom.
- Tap Delete my account…
- Type DELETE to confirm. Your account and its data are removed straight away.
Option 2 · Without the appAsk us by email
If you no longer have the app or your phone, email cleaven.app@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Cleaven account".
- Send it from the Google account email you signed in with, so we know the account is yours. If you can't, include your friend code (it looks like CLV-4K7P) and we'll verify ownership with you.
- We delete the account within 7 days and reply to confirm.
What happensWhat is deleted, and what isn't
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your profile | Deleted: friend code, display name, title, picture and frame, privacy setting, character, stage, streak, weekly minutes, and piece and achievement counts. |
| Friends and requests | Deleted: every connection, on your side and your friends' side, plus requests sent to you. A request you sent that is still waiting may stay in that person's list (showing only your name) until they decline it; it can no longer be accepted. |
| Cloud backup | Deleted: the backup copy of your app data. |
| Sign-in record | Deleted: your Firebase Authentication account (Google name, email, photo address and account ID). |
| Data on your phone | Kept on the phone, so you can keep using Cleaven without an account. Uninstall the app to remove it. If Android backup is on, a copy also sits in your own Google account's backup; you can remove it in your phone's settings under Google → Backup. |
| Usage analytics and crash reports | Not linked to your account, so they can't be singled out for deletion. They expire on their own: analytics after at most 14 months, crash reports after 90 days. |
Your Google account itself is not affected. Removing Cleaven's access to your Google account is optional, at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Want to delete only some data rather than the whole account? Email us and we'll help. For more detail, read the privacy policy.
